Defiling the Sabbath and Holy Days.(usually based on\u00a0Romans 14:5,6\u00a0&\u00a0Galatians 4:9-11 & Col.2:16)<\/p>\n

Before stumbling thru the hard things\u00a0Paul\u00a0wrote, you must first understand the prophecy regarding the Sabbath in\u00a0Christ.<\/p>\n

Isaiah 56:1:\u00a0\u201cThus saith the LORD, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed<\/em>.\u201d
\nWhen the prophet\u00a0Isaiah\u00a0said \u201cMy salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed<\/em>\u201d he was prophesying about the coming Messiah \u2013Christ.<\/p>\n

Isaiah 56:2:\u00a0\u201cBlessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil<\/em>. \u201c
\n3:\u00a0\u201cNeither let the son of the stranger, that hath joined himself to the LORD, speak, saying, The LORD hath utterly separated me from his people: neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree<\/em>.\u201d
\n4:\u00a0\u201cFor thus saith the LORD unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant<\/em>;\u201d
\nTake hold of my covenant goes back to the coming\u00a0Messiah\u00a0in\u00a0verse 1\u00a0\u2018The new covenant<\/em>\u2019 which was coming in\u00a0Christ.
\n5:\u00a0\u201cEven unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off<\/em>.\u201d
\n6:\u00a0\u201cAlso the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant;<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n

This prophecy teaches us that we must all keep the\u00a0Lord\u2019s Sabbath days. In addition\u00a0Christ\u00a0taught us the\u00a0Father\u2018s mercy in times of need on the Sabbath day.<\/p>\n

Matthew 12:1:\u00a0\u201cAt that time Jesus went on the sabbath day through the corn; and his disciples were an hungred, and began to pluck the ears of corn, and to eat<\/em>.\u201d
\nThe Pharisees tried to condemn the disciples for plucking the ears of corn which was considered \u2018work<\/em>\u2019 and was contrary to the law.<\/p>\n

Matthew 12:7:\u00a0\u201cBut if ye had known what this meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the guiltless<\/em>.\u201d
\n8:\u00a0\u201c\u00a0For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n

Christ\u00a0is clearly teaching Israel that the\u00a0Heavenly Father\u00a0requires mercy in\u00a0Christ\u00a0for sin and not animal sacrifices for sin. Today however many unlearned and unstable souls ignore the teachings of mercy in times of need on the Sabbath and run to the writings of\u00a0Paul\u00a0and twist his writings to say we no longer have to keep the Sabbaths or any of the\u00a0Father\u2018s holidays in contradiction to the prophecy in Isaiah 56 and other scriptures.<\/p>\n

Romans 14:5:\u00a0\u201cOne man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind<\/em>.\u201d
\n6:\u00a0\u201cHe that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Jews following the Levitical order esteemed and regarded the Sabbath and holidays by sacrificing and offering various gifts.
\nFor example, every Jew was commanded to bring his offering to the Levitical priests so that they could follow the law of the Sabbath.
\nNumbers 28: 9:\u00a0\u201cAnd on the sabbath day two lambs of the first year without spot, and two tenth deals of flour for a meat offering, mingled with oil, and the drink offering thereof<\/em>:\u201d
\n10:\u00a0\u201d\u00a0This is the burnt offering of every sabbath, beside the continual burnt offering, and his drink offering<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n

But the gentile Israelites that were scattered in different nations did not keep the laws of sacrifice according to the Levitical priesthood because\u00a0Christ\u00a0was the fulfillment of that law. Thereby those Jews under the Levitical priesthood felt those Israelites following\u00a0Christ, esteemed every day alike and regarded not the days commanded to be kept by the\u00a0Heavenly Father. Those Jews did not believe you could observe the high holy days in the faith of Christ. They rejected the sacrifice of Christ, believing the sacrifice of lambs, bulls and goats led you to perfection in the Law.<\/p>\n

Galatians 4:9:\u00a0\u201d\u00a0But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?<\/em>\u00a0\u201c
\nThe believers in Galatia were deceived into returning to the weak and beggarly elements that bring us into bondage which is the law of sacrifice under Levitical priesthood.<\/p>\n

Hebrews 7:18:\u00a0\u201cFor there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof<\/em>.\u201d
\nLet\u2019s start at\u00a0verse 11\u00a0to prove the Levitical priesthood was the weak and beggarly elements\u00a0Paul\u00a0wrote about in\u00a0Galatians 4:9.
\nHebrews 7: 11:\u00a0\u201cIf therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood<\/em>, (for under it the people received the law,)\u00a0what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron?<\/em>\u201c
\nThe Jews and many others believed perfection came by the Levitical priesthood\u2019s law of sacrifice, but perfection only comes thru faith in\u00a0Christ.
\nHebrews 7:12:\u00a0\u201cFor the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law<\/em>.\u201d
\n13:\u00a0\u201d\u00a0For he of whom these things are spoken pertaineth to another tribe, of which no man gave attendance at the altar<\/em>.\u201d
\n14:\u00a0\u201d\u00a0For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Juda; of which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning priesthood<\/em>.\u201d
\n15:\u00a0\u201cAnd it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude of Melchisedec there ariseth another priest<\/em>,\u201d
\n16:\u00a0\u201cWho is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life<\/em>.\u201d
\n17:\u00a0\u201cFor he testifieth, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec<\/em>.\u201d
\n18:\u00a0\u201cFor there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof<\/em>.\u201d
\nDisannulling means \u2018done away<\/em>\u2019. Proving the Levitical priesthood and their sacrifices are done away because it was weak and unprofitable.<\/p>\n

Back to\u00a0Galatians 4:10:\u00a0\u201cYe observe days, and months, and times, and years<\/em>.\u201d
\n11:\u00a0\u201cI\u00a0am afraid of you, lest I have bestowed upon you labour in vain<\/em>.\u201d
\nThe Israelites scattered in Galatia were being deceived by Pharisees and Jews to reject Christ and accept the Levitical Priesthood. They were bewitched into observing days, and months, and times, and years according to\u00a0Leviticus 23\u00a0and the strictness of the Levitical priesthood. That\u2019s why\u00a0Paul\u00a0asked them this question in
\nGalatians 3:1:\u00a0\u201cO foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?<\/em>\u00a0\u201c
\n2:\u00a0\u201cThis only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?<\/em>\u201c
\n3:\u00a0\u201cAre ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n

Meaning are you so foolish having begun in\u00a0Christ\u00a0(the Spirit) are you now made perfect by the Levitical law (the flesh)?
\nRemember\u00a0Hebrews 7:11:\u00a0\u201cIf therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood,<\/em>(for under it the people received the law,)\u00a0what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron?<\/em>\u201c<\/p>\n

Now let\u2019s explain\u00a0Colossians 2:16:\u00a0\u201cLet no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:<\/em>\u201c
\n17:\u00a0\u201cWhich are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n

First let\u2019s examine what men were going about judging those that believed in\u00a0Christ?<\/p>\n

Matthew 12:1:\u00a0\u201cAt that time Jesus went on the sabbath day through the corn; and his disciples were an hungred, and began to pluck the ears of corn, and to eat<\/em>.\u201d
\n2:\u00a0\u201cBut when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto him, Behold, thy disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the sabbath day<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to\u00a0Colossians 2:16, the Pharisees and other Jews were going about judging the followers of\u00a0Christ. The apostle\u00a0Paul\u00a0instructed the believers not to let any man judge them about meat offerings, drink offerings, or in respect of an holyday such as the Feast of Unleavened Bread for example which had to be kept in Jerusalem according to\u00a0Deuteronomy 16:16. The meat and drink offerings were sacrifices conducted on the new moon and the Sabbath days as well.
\nColossians 2: 17:\u00a0\u201cWhich are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ<\/em>.\u201d
\nThe Levitical priesthood and it\u2019s various laws of sacrifice are a shadow of things to come, which come in the sacrifice of\u00a0Jesus Christ. The body (believers) is of\u00a0Christmeaning we are to follow and obey everything the scriptures teach because by his sacrifice for us we are once again accepted in the grace of the\u00a0Heavenly Father.<\/p>\n

The following scriptures further prove that\u00a0Paul\u00a0both instructed and kept the holidays in the faith of\u00a0Christ\u00a0under the new covenant and not under the old covenant according to the Levitical Priesthood.<\/p>\n

Paul\u00a0kept the Feast of Unleavened Bread in Philippi which is located in Greece and not in Jerusalem as taught under the Levitical priesthood.
\nActs 20:6:\u00a0\u201cAnd we sailed away from Philippi after the days of unleavened bread, and came unto them to Troas in five days; where we abode seven days<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n

Paul\u00a0kept the day of Atonement in\u00a0Christ.
\nActs 27:9:\u00a0\u201c\u00a0Now when much time was spent, and when sailing was now dangerous, because the fast was now already past, Paul admonished them<\/em>,\u201d<\/p>\n

Paul\u00a0instructed the believers in Corinth to keep the Passover in\u00a0Christ.
\n1 Corinthians 5:7:\u00a0\u201cPurge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us<\/em>:\u201d
\n8:\u00a0\u201d\u00a0Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
