Easter<\/span>\u00a0is a day that is honored by today\u2019s Christians and is used to celebrate the resurrection of\u00a0Jesus Christ. The holiday often involves a church service at sunrise, a feast , decorated eggs and stories about rabbits.
\nThe modern spelling of\u00a0Easter<\/span>\u00a0can only be found once in the Bible.<\/p>\n

Acts 12: 1:\u00a0\u201cNow about that time Herod the king stretched forth his hands to vex certain of the church<\/em>.\u201d
\n2:\u00a0\u201cAnd he killed James the brother of John with the sword<\/em>.\u201d
\n3:\u00a0\u201cAnd because he saw it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to take Peter also. (Then were the days of unleavened bread.)<\/em>\u201d
\n4:\u00a0\u201cAnd when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after\u00a0Easter<\/span>\u00a0to bring him forth to the people<\/em>.\u201d
\nEaster<\/span>\u00a0has been celebrated by pagan idol worshippers and can be found in the\u00a0Old Testament\u00a0but only under it\u2019s original Canaanite spelling \u201cAshtaroth\u201d. Some times spelled\u00a0Ashtoreth\u00a0or\u00a0Astarte\u00a0. Later spelled \u201cIshtar\u201d pronounced \u201cEaster<\/span>\u201d.<\/p>\n

1 Samuel 7: 3:\u00a0\u201cAnd Samuel spake unto all the house of Israel, saying, If ye do return unto the LORD with all your hearts, then put away the strange gods and Ashtaroth from among you, and prepare your hearts unto the LORD, and serve him only: and he will deliver you out of the hand of the Philistines<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n

1 Samuel 12: 10:\u00a0\u201cAnd they cried unto the LORD, and said, We have sinned, because we have forsaken the LORD, and have served Baalim and Ashtaroth: but now deliver us out of the hand of our enemies, and we will serve thee<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ashtoroth\u00a0(Easter<\/span>) is both the goddess of fertility and the moon goddess. This idol is often portrayed as a standing female with open arms and numerous breasts (eggs) as symbols of fertility, and a turret crown. She became known as\u00a0Diana\u00a0of the Ephesians in which\u00a0Paul\u00a0and the\u00a0Disciples of Christ\u00a0instructed the Israelites of Ephesus not to worship, read\u00a0Acts 19.
\nThe goddess of fertility with the numerous breasts later became depicted as a fertile rabbit with numerous eggs symbolizing life and resurrection. Every year, on the first Sunday after the first full moon after the spring equinox, a celebration was made. It was\u00a0Ashtoroth\u00a0Sunday (Easter<\/span>\u00a0Sunday) and was celebrated with rabbits and eggs.<\/p>\n

Ashtoroth Sunday\u00a0was the day of life and resurrection and thus is changed into\u00a0Easter<\/span>\u00a0Sunday\u00a0the day\u00a0Christ\u00a0resurrected from the dead and incorporated into\u00a0Christianity. Today families and churches throughout the world have been deceived into believing they honor the resurrection of\u00a0Christ\u00a0and color and play\u00a0Easter<\/span>\u00a0Egg games complete with rabbits.<\/p>\n
